Did you know that I’m a total podcast junkie? It’s true! If I’m awake, then I am probably listening to a podcast. I’ll listen when I’m getting ready for work, on car drives, during workouts, and even during my shower. I’m pretty addicted at this point. Is it a problem? Eh – I’m not sure. At least it’s somewhat educational!
Luckily, all of that podcast binging is about to pay off big time for you. I’ve listened to many many podcasts over the last couple of years. I’ve been through it all including true crime phases (goodbye sleep) and Bachelor alumni binges. Seriously, your girl does not discriminate when it comes to a good podcast.
Lately, I’ve been focusing on discovering business-focused podcasts geared towards entrepreneurs. Learning tactical advice from business owners who have been exactly where I stand today has been a game-changer for me. I know it could be a game-changer for your business too! That’s why I have gathered up my top five podcasts for female entrepreneurs and organized them into a handy dandy blog post for you. Are you ready to hear what they are? Seriously, are you on the edge of your seat just dying to know? Well then, let’s get started!
The Rise Podcast – Rachel Hollis
You may know Rachel Hollis as the best selling author of Girl, Wash Your Face or Girl, Stop Apologizing. If not, then I can only assume that you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years. She’s extremely motivational and totally inspiring in a tough-love kinda way. I’ve loved reading her books and have found so much strength in myself through consuming her content. So, you can only imagine my excitement when I discovered her podcast. If you are struggling to picture it, then just imagine a human being binge listening to 8 hours of content immediately upon discovering it. That was my level of pumped.
The Rise Podcast is designed to deliver tangible and tactical advice for both life and business. Rachel Hollis pours her heart into serving her audience in the more than 100 episodes she’s recorded. There are a variety of episode types on her podcast. She has great interviews with powerhouses in the business world as well as other motivational speakers. She shares recordings of her keynote speeches. There are multiple excerpts from her books for you to enjoy. She also frequently discusses her journey to success with her audience. One thing’s for sure, you will definitely be leaving her podcast with valuable takeaways for your business.
Motherhood Ignited Podcast – Christy Keane
Christy Keane is a motherhood influencer and podcast host. She focuses on inspiring women to work passionately and nurture presently. As a mother myself, I find her content honest and refreshing. It’s an important task trying to find the balance between nurturing your business and nurturing your family. She’s an excellent person to help guide you along that journey. She’s a wealth of knowledge, a kind heart, and an amazing mentor.
The Motherhood Ignited podcast is designed for mompreneurs, creatives, and influencers who are rocking the balance between life and business. Every week she interviews inspiring female business owners, brands, and experts in the industry to provide her audience with new and exciting knowledge. She also releases a short MIP Mini every week packed full of quick tips based around her other full-length episodes. They may be short but they are full of useful tips and tricks you won’t want to miss. Christy recently released a series on her podcast all about pitching to brands. It’s my favorite chunk of episodes to date. Seriously, the information she shares here is invaluable so don’t miss out on a single second of it.
The Goal Digger Podcast – Jenna Kutcher
Jenna Kutcher is one of the most inspiring entrepreneurs in business today. Trust me when I say you want to know her. She’s chock-full of knowledge that she is totally open about sharing. That’s right you guys there are no secrets with Jenna. She’s an open book dedicated to helping female entrepreneurs find success. My favorite part of Jenna Kutcher is that she doesn’t just share motivation and inspiring tips. No no no, my friend. She is sharing tactical advice that you can put into action right now. She’s the best thing that will happen to your business. Trust me.
The Goal Digger Podcast is one of my favorite resources to share with my fellow entrepreneurs. Week after week The Goal Digger Podcast delivers productivity hacks, current social media strategies (totally authentic of course), business tips, and inspirational stories. What more could you ask of a podcast? Not only does Jenna openly share some of the best-kept secrets of her career, but she also interviews top industry experts to share theirs as well. Every episode will leave you so motivated that you’ll be begging for more.
How I Built This – Guy Raz
I actually discovered How I Built This through a Rise Podcast episode where Rachel Hollis shares her favorite podcasts. I’ve been hooked ever since. So, I’m straying slightly from my pattern of sharing my fellow #BossBabes to share this podcast with you. However, trust me when I say it is totally worth breaking pattern for. I could easily see this podcast making your top five. Heck you guys, it might even become your number one favorite. Totally possible!
Every week, Guy Raz dives into the stories behind some of the best-known companies. He chats with the innovators and entrepreneurs behind the brand to find out how their idea became the brand we know today. Some you might recognize are Stonyfield Yogurt, Shopify, Bumble, and Yelp. There is something so reassuring about hearing these entrepreneurs share their journey to success. It’s easy to think that these huge businesses we admire today were overnight successes, but that’s often not the case. Many of the entrepreneurs you admire today have overcome a vast amount of obstacles and failures to reach their big success point. It’s so inspiring to hear their journey and to know you aren’t alone.
Boss Girl Creative Podcast – Taylor Bradford
I first discovered Taylor Bradford at an influencer conference where she was a speaker. I decided to sit in on her session on SEO because to be totally transparent the topic of SEO is about as clear as mud to me. Holy smokes my friend, I am so glad I attended her session. Taylor openly shares the insider scoop on all things business in a way that isn’t overwhelming. For the first time, I wasn’t totally mind boggled after learning about SEO. After hearing her speak, I was dying to hear more. Seriously, I was devastated when her session ended because I wanted to pick her brain all day.
Luckily for me, she has an amazing podcast called the Boss Girl Creative where she shares simple tactical advice on the reg. Boy was I excited to start binging that and I know you will be too. If you are caught up in the whats, hows, and whys of business and blogging, then this podcast is for you. Taylor guides you through social media, branding, business strategies, and everything in between with ease. Are you ready to dive into her mind like I was? Heck yes, girl! She’s actually created an episode specifically for new audience members that she recommends listening to before diving into the rest of her archives. PS – it’s episode 096.
