Web Hosting and Domain
I use NameCheap as my hosting provider for Binkies, Bottles, and Babies. I am able to get hosting for $9.88 per month (for the first year). This is a great deal as a new blogger because you won’t have a ton of money to spend up front. I have been very pleased with NameCheap. They are a extremely reliable provider and their customer service is excellent.
I am currently using QDNOW’s Daphne theme. I purchased it from their Etsy site. This is the perfect feminine theme for Binkies, Bottles, and Babies. It provides all of the features that I needed as a blogger. Also, they installed my theme for me at no additional cost. That was a huge selling point for me.
It is important to collect emails as a blogger. It is the only form of communication that you have complete control over. Social media platforms will come and go, but emails are always there. I always recommend ConvertKit as an email service provider. They have plans starting as low as $29 a month. This plan offers you 1,000 email subscribers and an unlimited amount of emails per month.
ShareASale – ShareASale is one of my favorite affiliate networks to work with. They have great merchants including Wayfair, Gymboree, Zazzle Ergobaby, NFL Shop, and more!
Amazon Associates – I make the majority of my affiliate income through Amazon Associates. They have such a wide variety of products that I can always find exactly what I need. Plus, their program is very user friendly. It is very easy to link back to their products.
I use Google Adsense as my source of advertising income for this blog. This is my favorite source of passive income. All I have to do is set it up to do auto ads. Then, Adsense automatically adds advertisements to my blog posts based on what my readers are searching for. This takes all the work out of it for me so that I can truly focus on coming up with content.
BoardBooster – I use this program to keep my old pins in the loop. I can set my Pinterest boards to loop and BoardBooster will automatically repin the pins on those boards for me. This helps keep all my content relevant. Their plans start as low as $5 per month which gives you 500 repins. This is the perfect starter plan. However, you can upgrade your plan at anytime as needed.
MiloTree – MiloTree is a popup that you can install on your blog to help grow your social media and your email list. It’s is so easy to set up and use. You simply connect which platforms you want to grow including Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Pinterest, and Email. Then, you connect your popup to your WordPress site using MiloTree’s plugin. Then comes the best part – you get to sit back and watch your followers grow.
